Xentoran Joins DRS Team on CECOM's R2 Contract
The Xenotran Corporation (www.Xenotran.com) announced that it has joined DRS Technologies - TAMSCO (www.DRS.com) Rapid Response (R2) contract team. The Rapid Response program is managed by the Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) in Ft. Monmouth, NJ and was developed to provide the "Best Business Solution Available to All Federal Agencies."
The R2 contract is a Time and Materials (T&M) and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Task Order (TO) contract to support the requirements for all Federal Agencies world wide. By joining the DRS team, Xenotran is able to quickly responsd to requirements in its area of expertise - digital communication systems. Requirements can include R&D; Engineering; Fabrication of Software and Hardware; Installation and Integration; Testing and Certification; Logistic Support; Technical Data Management; Analysis; Training; and Acquisition Support.
"We are excited about the opportunities available to us and proud to be on the DRS team," said Dean DiMattia, president of the Xenotran Corporation. "The rapid turnaround for the solicitation, proposal, evaluation and award are made possible because the R2 contract is a Task Order contract. Which means we can begin to provide solutions to our customers much qucker than using traditional contracting methods."
DRS is one of the eight contractors who were awarded the R2 contract. Therefore, the DRS Team may assist the customer with the development of the requirements and the preparation of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This makes the R2 contract a powerful tool for the Government customer to get on contract in about a three week period. This is especially important considering urgent requirements for the Global War on Terrorism deployments and Homeland Security.
