The Xenotran Corporation (www.Xenotran.com), a leading provider of digital communications and software defined radio solutions, today announced that it has achieved its 100% Fully-Trained Engineering Staff milestone in Software Communications Architecture (SCA) design using the PrismTech Solutions Americas' SPECTRA tool suite.

"This milestone involved a coordinated effort to train both our west and east coast engineering teams" said Dr. Kevin Page, Chief Technology Officer for Xenotran. "Xenotran's core expertise in digital signal processing, waveform development, and software defined radio implementations now advances to the next level where all of our engineers, from those working the physical layer to those designing and implementing advanced data control layers can re-use, port, and manage SCA-compliant software."

Xenotran's SCA training program made extensive use of the SPECTRA toolset offered by PrismTech.  To help achieve Xenotran's goal of fully trained engineering team, Dr. Page had every engineer actively participate in PrismTech's SCA - SPECTRA training course.  The courses covered an exhaustive review of the specification the Software Communication Architecture (SCA) as well as the modeling environment for developing SCA Applications and Platform Services. The course(s) were heavily hands-on oriented and organized so that the lectures were followed immediately by engineering exercises on the concepts just presented, using the SPECTRA modeling tools and Operating Environment (OE).

"Our engineers can now work in a seamless, common environment.  This means we can develop SCA-compliant code faster, with greater confidence, and at lower risk for our U.S. Government and defense contractor customers" said Dr. Page.
